• Daily Mail - Daily Mail and General Trust's flagship newspaper was founded in 1896 by Lord Northcliffe and now has sales in excess of two to five million readers. With a re-design in 1971 to make it into a compact newspaper, it now dominates the national newspaper middle market.

• The Mail on Sunday - founded in 1982 by the third Viscount Rothermore. It now has a circulation of over 2.3 million with a readership of 6 million and is the leading mid-market Sunday paper.

• The Evening Standard - founded in 1827, the Evening Standard is the sole survivor of the many newspapers that served London. It has a circulation of 445 000 and a readership of 1.1 million.
